Galette classique frangipane
$59.00

Description
Puff pastry, Almond frangipane
The fève, or small charm, is traditionally hidden inside the cake. Whoever finds it in their slice is deemed king or queen for the day.
WARNING: DO NOT EAT. The feve/charm is INEDIBLE. Guests should be cautioned to eat carefully so as not to cause injury. (This feve/charm is food safe and heat proof, and therefore safe to be in contact with food.)
The galette des rois, celebrating Epiphany, is baked throughout January in France. Composed of two circles of puff pastry sandwiching an almond frangipane filling, each comes with a crown and always contains a trinket, called a fève.
It’s an invitation to gather — as much a party game as a pastry. If your slice has the fève, you get the crown and the right to be king or queen for the day.
